A few years ago at home on the south shore of Oahu…
Best wetsuit ever! Super warm, light weight, and so unbelievably flexible! Mahalo Kazu and Trump!
Testing a new board…not a new design but just my version of the asymmetrical tail.
Congrats to Jessie Hong the ASC Rip Curl Pro Malaysia champion and runner up at the Taiwan Open of Surfing!
Her winning board is a custom hand shaped WT5 model 5’7″ x 18 1/8″ x 2″ round pin.
With everyone going shorter and wider in their small wave boards, I thought I’d go in the other direction for mine. I went with the same length I normally ride but narrower and thinner than normal. I flattened the rocker considerably in the nose to help catch waves easily and maintain speed on a smaller wave. The length gives me the projection I like and the narrower width and thinner rail help the board turn tighter and quicker.
Testing the Model 26 in waist high, weak, mushy Nanwan beach break…
